Illustration Friday - Imagine

Haven't done an IF illo in quite a while. We made a big move and things were very hectic. We now live in a "real" Alaskan town out in the bush where the only way in or out is by boat or plane.

Anyway, I'm glad to be able to have time to do something for IF again.

I had a strange attraction to eyballs when I was in high school. I don't know why, maybe it was that "window to your soul" thing, but I was always drawing them and painting them in art class. My mom recently called me up and mentioned she had found one of my eyeball paintings in stuff she was going through, so I guess this is kind of a reminiscing peice.

I like this a lot. Did you use Illustrator or another vector based program? If you did, I'm impressed. If you didn't, I'm even more impressed!

i love this! It is so clever it looks like an eyechart in the background but you used the theme word. Brilliant!!! Also great colour, nice blend on the boots and I love that your mom fund one of your eyeball paintings, hilarious!!!

Cool eyeball - the cowboy boots are great! It's funny how a certain image can keep popping up - it's like your sub-conscious is trying to resolve something that you're now aware of.

Back in the 70's... (I'm dating myself here) there was a surfer/artist Rick Griffin who did some great eyeball dudes. I don't know why they are so cool... but they are. You did a great job on this one!
